LMEF: Admission and Scholarships

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a three-year degree, a good command of the English language and a solid background in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics.  

Italian applicants, during their undergraduate studies, must have successfully obtained the following credits:

  • 20 credits in  SECS-P07,  either in SECS-P08,  SECS-P09,  SECS-P10, SECS-P11;
  • 30 credits in Economics (SECS-P01, SECS-P02, SECS-P03, SECS-P05, SECS-P06,  SECS-P12), of which at least 10 credits in Microeconomics (SECS-P01) and 10 credits in Macroeconomics (SECS-P01);
  • 25 credits in  Statistics (SECS-S01,   SECS-S02,   SECS-S03,   SECS-S04,   SECS-S05,  SECS-S06),  of which 10 credits in SECS-S01 and 10 credits in SECS-S06 (Mathematical Economics);
  • 20 credits in Law (IUS01, IUS04, IUS05, IUS07, IUS09, IUS10, IUS12), of which at least 5 in Private Law (IUS01).
  • 5 credits in English (L-LIN12)
Graduates who do not meet the criteria in the above credit list will be examined before admission in the subjects for which they do not hold the minimum number of credits.

For foreign applicants credits' fulfillment will be individually determined by the Master’s admission committee. Both EU nationals and non-EU national who reside in Italy with a regular work or study permit can apply for admission. For non-resident non-EU nationals, admission is subject to existing visa and immigration regulations.

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure requires applicants to file a preliminary application and a formal application (subject to admission at the preliminary stage).

Application

Applications to the LMEF program are now open. Interested candidates are invited to fill out the online preliminary application form by the deadline and attach the following mandatory documents::

  • Official transcript of the undergraduate degree, displaying the overall grade (if applicable), the list of exams taken, their grades and related credits (which, if not written in Italian or English, must be accompanied by a sworn English translation)

Scholarships

  • Scholarships for the academic year 2024-25 offered by the Department of Economics and Statistics (DISES) of the University of Naples Federico II (UNINA), to be awarded to graduate students who enrol in one of the following 2-year Master programmes offered by the Department: LMEF; LMEC; LM in Finance.

  •  Within the framework of the activities planned under the Agreement with the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo,in the three-year period 2022-2024, the University of Naples Federico II, in order to strengthen the internationalization of its Degree Courses, is issuing a call for applications for 25 two- year scholarships, reserved for international students enrolling for the academic year 2023-24 in the first year of one of the Degree Courses listed in the Call for selection (updated on 23/05/2023).
